Results: 15-20 Epith./lpf || 0-1 WBC's/hpf || Numerous gram negative diplococci || Numerous small gram negative rods || Few fat gram negative rods || Rare large gram positive rods || Moderate gram positive cocci in clusters
Note: There are many Neisseria like organisms and other normal Upper Respiratory inhabitants present. The numerous Epith. cells in the absence of WBC's indicates this is a "normal sputum specimen".
