Results: Greater than 25 Sq. Epith./lpf | 0-5 WBC's/hpf | Numerous gram positive cocci in clusters | Numerous gram positive cocci in chains | Moderate gram negative diplococci | Moderate gram negative rods
Note: This is a good example of a sputum sample that should be rejected for culture. The large number of epithelial cells and the type of organisms found indicate that the specimen is not a good sputum sample.
