Trichophyton tonsurans produce delicate variable shapes and sizes of microconidia. Relatively large spherical conidia are often located alongside small, parallel-walled conidia and other microconidia of various shapes and sizes. Macroconidia (2-4 cells) are rare and often slightly curved.
